Sources Connection Café & Catering

Located at the South Surrey Recreation Centre

The Perfect Community Place to Mingle!

Our Mission :

The Sources Connections Cafe & Catering is a small cafe situated at the entrance of the South Surrey Recreation Centre located at 14601 20 Ave. The object of this project is to establish an intergenerational enterprise that fosters the purposeful and ongoing exchange of resources and learning among seniors and youth for individual financial and social benefits. Our goal is to promote social wellness for our community by offering sustainable and gainful employment to seniors and youth, collaborating together to operate a financially successful entrepreneurial venture. Sources Connections Cafe & Catering will be a social place for people to connect while offering a menu of healthy living options.

Bottom Line revenue earned from operations provide another source of funding for the Sources Foundation operating as Sources Community Resource Centres a registered non-profit society.

This venture was inspired through a comprehensive community assessment and planning process undertaken by Semiahmoo Seniors Planning Table in White Rock and South Surrey.

Sources Connection Café is a Social Enterprise

What is a Social Enterprise?

Social enterprises are revenue-generating businesses with a twist. Operated by a non-profit organization a social enterprise has two goals: to achieve social, cultural, community economic outcomes and, to earn revenue. On the surface, many social enterprises look, feel, and even operate like traditional businesses. But looking more deeply, one discovers the mission is at the centre of business, with income generation playing an important supporting role.

All net profits are returned to the programs of Sources Community Resource Society.
