POSITION: Child & Youth Worker/Behaviour Consultant – Permanent Full Time

CURRENT LOCATION: Fort St John, BC

CURRENT HOURS: 35 hours per week (very flexible hours)

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is a blend of two positions, providing behaviour modification and skills training.  As the Child & Youth Worker, you will be providing intervention for youth with mental health challenges and/or developmental disabilities.  You will support the goals as directed by the referring Mental Health Clinician.  Activities may include; socialization, symptom reduction and skill development.  The worker will also be responsible for liaising with Mental Health therapist, report writing, and case management.  As the Behaviour Consultant, duties include conducting functional assessment, Positive Behaviour Support program development, monitor support strategies for families of children with Developmental Disabilities.  The position is clinically supervised by a BCBA which can be used towards certification hours.  This position involves travel, with reimbursement and requires a home office (equipment provided).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (psychology, education, social work, etc.)
  • Two years related experience
  • Valid BC driver’s license
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Criminal record check required

START DATE: December 18, 2017

SALARY: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour (dependent upon experience)
