Behaviour Analyst – Contract

POSITION: Behaviour Analyst (BCBA, RASP) – Contract Position

CURRENT LOCATION: ACCESS PBS – Surrey/White Rock, BC

CURRENT HOURS: As needed

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Behaviour Analyst will offer a full range of consultation and support services to families of children under or over the age of 6 with autism / other developmental disabilities, including building a therapeutic alliance with the family, conducting skill assessments, presenting the intervention design to the family, training interventionists proper implementation of intervention designs, and collaborating on current progress and future skills with the family and all team members.  This includes modelling, role-playing, educating and further hands on training to parents and interventionists as well as developing data sheets/graphs, and analyzing data collection to determine success of the programs or necessary modifications to the program.

Duties include:

Carries caseload of clients as assigned/required
Conducts initial assessments and ongoing assessments to determine level of skills to be taught with home program
Works closely with clients to come up with program goals
Performs duties with the appropriate balance of both direct and indirect services
Reviews all cases on a regular basis to determine the effectiveness of program
Provides feedback to the behavior interventionist on all aspects related to program implementation and data collection
Provides ongoing training to behavior interventionists and parent training
Attends monthly home team meetings and other meetings as required (e.g., IEPs)
Liaises with clients and other professionals in an ethical way and always endeavoring to do the best for our clients
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ·         Completed Master’s degree in related field AND holds Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification number
  • ·         Is currently listed on the RASP Lis3
  • ·         Minimum 3 years experience as consultant and/or behavior analyst
  • ·         Extensive experience with assessment tools (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, etc.)
  • ·         Extensive experience with conducting functional behavior assessments, functional analysis, development of individualized behavior plans for decreasing high-         intensity problem behaviors, creating individualized task plans that teach pro-social behaviors, creating data sheets for record of skill progress and analyzing of these data, executing maintenance and generalization of acquired skills, etc.
  • ·         Experience with Behavioral Skills Training needed for ongoing interventionist training and/or parent training
  • ·         Owns vehicle and carries valid BC driver’s license
  • ·        Successful criminal record check required
  • ·        Professional liability insurance is current

START DATE: As soon as possible

SALARY: $75.00 per hour
