The remains of two hundred and fifteen children found in Kamloops. Many more may yet to be found. Our hearts are heavy as we mourn each and every precious life that was taken. #EveryChildMatters. Our thoughts are with the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation and other First Nations communities whose lives were, and continue to be, affected by the residential school system. Board Certified Behaviour Analyst – Permanent Part-Time

POSITION: Board Certified Behaviour Analyst – Permanent Part-Time

CURRENT LOCATION: Behaviour Analysis Services – North

CURRENT HOURS: 23.5 hrs/wk

POSITION SUMMARY:

Position location is in the Dawson Creek/Ft. St. John area.  Duties include conducting Functional Assessment, developing Intervention Plans and Positive Behaviour Support plans, training families and Behaviour Interventionists, overseeing program implementation, ongoing monitoring and modification of programs for children and youth Developmental Disabilities, trauma, and attachment disruption.  Possibility of additional hours in other programs. Includes comprehensive benefits package.  Position involves extensive travel, with reimbursement, throughout the North East region, serving rural and remote communities.  Requires a home office (equipment provided).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have:

  • Master’s Degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, Social Work, etc.)
  • Current certification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst through the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board
  • Experience working with children and ASD from 0 to 18, children and youth with other neurodevelopmental delays, trauma, and attachment disruption, and providing center, home and community based intervention.
  • Knowledge of MCFD protocol regarding Child Protection and Risk Assessment is an asset
  • Familiar and comfortable working with Microsoft Office products
  • Must possess a valid BC driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
  • Criminal record check required

START DATE: February 23, 2018

SALARY: $41.00-$48.00 per hour (depending on experience)
