The Empowered for Employment Centre provides free life skills, job search skills training, job development and practicum placements for individuals with barriers to employment.   We are currently offering the following employment programs: Building Service Work Program for women who are survivors of violence and abuse. Skills for Today’ s Workplace for men and women who are survivors of violence and abuse. Admin and Accounting Works for people aged 55 and older. YouTHrive for people aged 15-29 years who require individualized guidance to meet their employment goals. As a volunteer with the Empowered for Employment Centre, you will provide administrative support to the operations of the centre.   Through your work you will facilitate access to employment support services for local job seekers to enhance their opportunities for employment, contributing to workforce development in a changing economy and fostering social wellness in the community.

September 20th, 2018|  INTERNAL/ EXTERNAL JOB POSTING COMPETITION NO. 18-102 Position: Life Skills Instructor – Permanent FULL-Time Location:  Life Skills Resource Centre – Surrey (Newton) Hours: 35 hrs/wk (Mon-Sat availability, typical operation hours are 8: 30am-5pm during the week but must be open to possibly working 4pm-8pm Tuesday evenings for social group facilitation and alternatively on certain weeks Thursday evenings to facilitate social dances, other week days may require being able to work until 7pm, Saturday hours vary depending on client needs. ) We are looking for a Life Skills Instructor to join our Sources Life Skills Centre team! This individual must be compassionate, creative, and enjoy working in a team environment.

September 19, 2018|  INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING COMPETITION NO. 18-101 Position:  Residential Community Support Worker – Relief/Casual Location:  Stayte House – White Rock South Surrey Area Hours:  This is a casual on call position.   Applicant must be available to work a variety of shifts to include overnights. We are looking for a Residential Community Support Worker to join our Sources Stayte House Team.   This individual must be enthusiastic, resourceful and compassionate while also possessing strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

C. , V4A 9P5 Hours:  12-20 per week, 8-10 per week We are looking for a part time associate to join our Sources Café team! This individual must be positive attitude, confidence, flexibility, a team player, a passion for food – and of course a love of coffee.
