Self-Compassion Group for Women

Join our 8 week program for people who have experienced childhood trauma, sexual assault, and/or relationship abuse at some point in her life.

This is an educational, skill-building group open to people who have experienced abuse/neglect/violence at some point in their life. This group is for people who want tools to overcome the inner critic, perfectionism, self-judgment, and shame by learning the principles and practices of self-compassion that are based on the neuroscience of well-being.

This group and our services are open to people of all marginalized genders including women (cis and trans), Two-Spirit, trans, and non-binary people.

Topics will include:

  • What is self-compassion?
  • How our thinking influences us
  • The power of self-talk
  • Self-care
  • Meditation
  • Mindfulness
  • Practicing self-acceptance
  • Letting go of perfectionism

October 10 – November 28, 2019 Sources Women’s Place, 15318 20th Avenue, Surrey, BC

There is a $30 fee for 8 sessions. Registration is required.
