January 29, 2020| EXTERNAL/INTERNAL JOB POSTING COMPETITION NO. 20-008 Position: Behaviour Interventionist – Casual Location:  BASIC North, Prince George Hours: Causal with availability of at least 20 hours per week We are looking for someone who is interested in working as a Behaviour Interventionist to join our Sources B. A. S. I. C. program’s team! The behaviour interventionist provides direct one-to-one teaching to young children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disorders. The behaviour interventionist will work as a part of an interdisciplinary team and under direct mentorship and supervision of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.   The Behaviour Interventionist will also be supported in attaining certification as a Registered Behaviour Technician or one of the other levels of certification awarded through the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board.

It’s Cold Out There! SOURCES is hosting the 7th Annual Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) in White Rock on Saturday, February 22, 2020.  This event is a fun, family-friendly winter walk that happens in 136 communities across Canada on the same day. It allows participants to experience a hint of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness during winter, as well as raise money to help those people.

This individual must be well organized, compassionate, and have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by at risk families.

To kick off the 2020 growing season, Sources Food Hub is offering a new and free resource. Fruit tree owners in Surrey are invited to attend a pruning workshop to learn how to take better care of their fruit-bearing trees while supporting our community at the same time. This workshop, to be held on January 25 (1 to 3 p. m. ) at the Historic Stewart Farm in South Surrey, is part of Sources Food Hub’s Community Harvest Program – a gleaning service to actively rescue food that might otherwise be wasted.
