Help us score a hole-in-one and raise funds for those in need
For the past 31 years, the Semiahmoo Rotary Charity Golf Tournament has raised more than $1.4 million to fund many community projects. Normally held in June, this year’s golf tournament has been postponed until Tuesday, September 08 and modified for Covid-19 safety.
“Although this event was at risk of being cancelled earlier this year, the incredible news is that it’s now sold out with 144 golfers attending and, for the first time ever, there are two ways in which members of the public can participate and support their community at the same time,” explains David Young, CEO of SOURCES.
With 100 per cent of the net tournament proceeds going to improve the lives of those in need, the public is encouraged to take part through the following two options:
Online Silent Auction: More than two dozen items up for auction, from a wine gift basket to a Maui beach condo for seven nights! Click here to view and bid.
Online 50/50: Tickets available online at $10 for a single ticket, $20 for a three-pack of tickets, $50 for a 10-pack of tickets or $100 for a 25-pack of tickets. The winner will take home more than $1,200! (Final amount based on final ticket sales.) Click here to purchase.
For this tournament, the Rotary Club is partnering with SOURCES to support our Comfort and Care During Covid-19 response fund to provide much-needed mental wellness and community support to individuals and families.
“As a board member of the Sources Foundation, we are delighted to be supported by this event which is so important to the communities it will benefit,” says Shelley Williams, Co-Chair, Semiahmoo Rotary Charity Golf Tournament. “Everyone can have fun with this tournament as well as feel good that their enjoyment is helping others.”
“Although the traditional tournament format was turned upside down to ensure all Covid-19 safety protocols are met, with the incredible cooperation of the Morgan Creek Golf Club, tireless effort from our golf committee and amazing support from our sponsors and golfers, this year’s event is shaping up to be a great success,” adds Scott Hind, Co-Chair, Semiahmoo Rotary Charity Golf Tournament.
