We are looking for a Behavior Consultant to join our Sources Access team! This individual must possess excellent communication skills, love working with children and youth, and is willing to travel within the lower mainland!

Description of Position
Reporting to the Manager of Positive Behavior Support Services, the Behavior Consultant position is a casual employee of Sources Community Resources.
The Behaviour Consultant will offer a full range of consultation and support services to families of children with neuro-developmental disabilities, including building a therapeutic alliance with the family, conducting skill assessments, presenting the intervention design to the family, training parents and interventionists proper implementation of intervention designs, and collaborating on current progress and future skills with the family and all team members. This includes modelling, role-playing, educating and further hands-on training to parents and interventionists as well as developing data sheets/graphs, analyzing data collection to determine success of the program/ necessary modifications to the program.
Program Specific Responsibilities:
Carries a caseload of clients as assigned and as required.
Conducts Family Ecology assessment, builds therapeutic alliance, presents intervention design, collaborates with family on implementing family-centred designs, models, role-plays, teaches parents and children, other caregivers and at times generalizes programing to community members.
Monitors closely the progress of each child, their parents, caregivers or service providers and re-designs or alters programs as required.
Collects and analyses data on the success of the implemented programs (tracking, reporting, and recording data).
Writes accurate initial, progress and discharge reports, on time, and in a professional manner and provides all reports for review to the Manager before distribution.
Keeps informed about new developments and current trends and new research in the field Applied Behaviour Analysis treatment and training of children with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and other pervasive developmental disorders.
Qualifications:
- ·        Minimum of bachelor’s degree related to the field of Behavior Analysis or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)
- ·        Minimum 1 year experience as a Behaviour Consultant, working within the home, school, and community or 2 years’ experience working as a Senior/ Lead Interventionist
- ·        Experience with Behavioral Skills Training, needed for ongoing or parent/interventionist training
- ·        Experience with development of behavior plans, data sheets, graphing, and analyzing of data collection
- ·        Experience with a variety of assessment tools (e.g., ABLLS-R, AFLS, VB-MAPP, etc.)
- Effectively utilize Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and central data systems
- Effectively communicate professionally, verbally and written in English
- Standard First Aid and CPR (Training may be accessed through Sources)
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training (Training may be accessed through Sources)
- Criminal Records check through the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Records Review Program
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and driver’s abstract
Start Date: August 02, 2022
Salary: $33.10 per hour
