Volunteer Services – Hospital-to-Home

Our Services

This program operates in cooperation with the Peace Arch Hospital and the Seniors Come Share Society. It was developed in order to fill a gap which existed in assisting seniors discharged from the hospital that had no way to get home and unnecessarily keeping them in the hospital longer than they needed to be.

A pair of volunteers will assist the patient in getting home from the hospital safely and comfortably. If the senior does not have groceries at home, volunteers can arrange for a package of food to be picked up at Sources Food Bank on the way to the senior’s home.
