COVID-19: SOURCES will continue to serve the most vulnerable members of our community. In order to do this while maintaining the safety, health and well-being of our staff and volunteers, our executive team has made the decision to suspend or modify in-person services until further notice. There are some exceptions. Programs deemed to be providing essential human services will continue to provide direct or modified services to clients.

Our Services

As part of our efforts to fight COVID-19 and maintain the health, safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, clients and community, we will be suspending the Hospital to Home program until further notice.

The Hospital-to-Home Program, also known as the Volunteer-Assisted Discharge Program, is designed to support seniors being discharged from Peace Arch Hospital by providing companionship and a ride home.

This Program operates in cooperation with the Peace Arch Hospital and the Seniors Come Share Society. It was developed in order to fill a gap which existed in assisting seniors discharged from the hospital that had no way to get home, therefore keeping them in the hospital longer than they needed to be.

A pair of volunteers will assist the patient in getting home from hospital safely and comfortably. If the senior does not have groceries at home, volunteers can arrange for a package of food to be picked up at Sources Food Bank on the way to the senior’s home.
