Make a donation today

We need your help! There are more than 100 children on our waitlist for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. To enroll every child through the program, we need to fundraise $20,000.

Can you help by making a donation? It costs just $3.55 to send a book to a child each month. Your contribution will make an impact for children and families in Surrey and White Rock, whether you donate $5, $50 or $500.

If you donate via our Facebook Fundraiser between November 23 and December 9, 2020, we will receive 100% of your donation (no processing fees) directly into our Imagination Library account. You will also receive a charitable tax receipt for your donation from Facebook.

Our Services

This program remains open.
As part of our efforts to fight COVID-19, we are taking measures to ensure the health, safety and well-being of clients, volunteers, staff and our community. Learn more about SOURCES’ response to COVID-19 here.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a powerful way to make lasting change in the lives of the children in the community. Our aim is to give every child in the community an equal chance for a brighter future.

We do this by providing every child with a free, home-delivered book every month from birth until they turn the age of five. Each book is carefully selected for high-quality, age-appropriateness that will bring the magic of reading to a child’s home.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library helps Canadian children gain the skills they need to start school ready to read. It encourages reading and bonding between the child and his/her family and caregivers. The single most important activity for building eventual success in reading is reading aloud to children and to start early.

Special thanks to the Semiahmoo Rotary Club and the Bosa Family Foundation for their generous support!
