The Mental Health Child and Youth Outreach Program works in collaboration with MCFD Child & Youth Mental Health Clinicians to provide additional one-to-one support to children/youth while in the community or at school. The outreach services are social, recreational, or leisure activities which utilize a strengths-based approach to work toward positive changes. This program supports youth aged 6 to 18 who have been referred by a Child & Youth Mental Health Clinician. Outreach workers will support youth in working toward identified therapeutic goals while in the community/school and provide opportunities for positive-role modelling, connection, and emotional skill building.
