George has been with SOURCES since 2010, bringing years of leadership in counselling, substance use, child and family services, youth supports, and community-based mental health initiatives. He began his work with SOURCES as Manager of Counselling and Substance Use Services before moving into executive leadership, where he now oversees a broad portfolio that includes Substance Use Services, Counselling, Child and Family Services, Youth Services including Foundry, Overdose Prevention, and Peer Support.
Throughout his career, George has been deeply committed to strengthening coordinated, compassionate responses for individuals, youth, and families facing complex challenges. His work reflects a strong focus on collaboration, community connection, and reducing barriers to support, particularly for people impacted by substance use and mental health concerns. George also serves as Co-Chair of the Tides of Change Community Action Team in White Rock/South Surrey, contributing to local efforts to address substance use through education, partnership, and collective action. He is the co-producer of two community education videos, Building Hope: Substance Use and the Trades and Moments to Milestones, which highlights the role of first responders in engaging people who use substances. |
