SOURCES LANGLEY FOOD BANK ~ ALDERGOVE DEPOT GENERAL VOLUNTEER
Position Summary Sources Langley Food Bank serves approximately 1500 individuals a week by providing nutritious food and support to community members in need. The Food Bank strives to raise awareness about poverty, and to involve the community in solutions. The Food Banks is proud to offer a choice-based model for our clients. This model contributes to the preservation of dignity and power of choice for the clients and lends to an overall more positive experience while assessing the Food Bank. Volunteer support is needed for the Sources Aldergrove Food Bank depot, which operates bi-weekly. Volunteers here will assist with the stocking of shelves as we prepare for distribution, greeting and attending to clients as they arrive, direct food distribution, and general clean up.
