Child and Youth with Special Needs Services – Island

Our Services

The Child and Youth with Special Needs (CYSN) program provides peer-based social opportunities for children and youth with special needs. Groups focus on life-skills, social interactions as well as client needs and interests. In addition to groups, CYSN services offer one-on-one sessions with youth along with support for parents of children with special needs.

Cost: CYSN services are available for children and youth with special needs and are free of charge.

Referrals: All referrals to this program are provided by CYSN Services at MCFD.

The child and youth with special needs program is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
