Our Services

Sources Oceanside Resource Centre provides family services to the community of Oceanside to strengthen family relationships, increase resilience and support the building of positive parenting practices as a way to work towards the healthy development of families. Services are provided to families who have children from birth to age 18.
Family Social Work
A program to prevent out-of-home placement of children, encourage family reunification and reduce the risk of child maltreatment. Neuro-Sequential Model of Therapeutics Brain Mapping is provided through this service. Referrals from the community are accepted for this program and services are provided mainly through home visitation (with precautions during COVID-19).
Parent Support
Support to parents and their families to enhance capacities in parenting and foster optimal child development. The focus is on parent-child interaction, positive parenting practices and building healthy family relationships. Referrals from the community are accepted for this program and services are provided mainly through home visitation (with precautions during COVID-19).
Family Visitation Supervision and Support
Visitation and access services for families with children in care. Family support provided during visitation around child-parent interaction and parenting skills. This program is available through MCFD referral only.
Cost: All family services are provided free of charge.
Referrals: Community referrals are accepted from parents, physicians, school personnel and other community professionals. Referrals can be made by phone, fax or email.
All family service programs are funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) and are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
