We are looking for a Social Media Marketer to join our SOURCES Empowered for Employment team! This individual must be creative, organized and flexible.
SOURCES is a community-based non-profit organization that has been providing help, encouragement, and hope for individuals and families in White Rock, Surrey, Delta, Langley, and Prince George for 40 years. We serve 40,000 individuals yearly and that is all owing to our dedicated team. We provide services such as food banks, counselling, employment services, and community living programs. At Sources we value respect and collaboration as we are all striving to promote the same mission—social wellness for our community.
SOURCES Empowered for Employment
Empowered for Employment programs provide employment support to various clients including Survivors of Violence and/or Abuse, Older Workers (55+) and Youth (15-30). Our services include Career Exploration, Job Search Assistance, Skills Training, Work Experience and Job Placement Supports.
§ Work collaboratively with SOURCES Empowered for Employment Manager and SOURCES Charitable Partnerships/Communications Manager to promote Empowered for Employment through social media.
§ Provide valuable content to the audience via social media and encourage engagement on social media platforms.
§ Maintain ongoing conversation, strengthen relationship with views to recruit participants for the program.
§ Engage in marketing/community activities with the objective of enhancing community awareness of Empowered for Employment Program and local resources.
§ Promote Empowered for Employment services within local community with emphasis on developing and maintaining strong community connections, to increase awareness of and access to employment services and foster business relationships for employment opportunities for the participants.
§ Follow and compliant with SOURCES Social Media Policy.
§ An undergraduate degree or diploma or combination of relevant education, professional experience and industry training in social media development, marketing and/or public relations.
§ Minimum two years of social media marketing experience.
§ Minimum of one year’s experience and knowledge in employment services field.
§ Service oriented, culturally competent and adaptable to working in a variety of settings with a diverse employer and client base.
§ Strong networking with knowledge of marketing and promotional techniques and labour standards.
§ Demonstrated experience and success in marketing and client recruitment.
§ Flexible and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative, work independently and under pressure.
§ Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
§ Criminal record check required.
