The Sources Langley Food Bank is ready to re-open to clients at their new location next week.

The address is Unit 208, 20445 62 Avenue in the Township of Langley. The first distribution day for clients will be Wednesday May 22.

Regular Distribution Hours will be Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Donations can be made onsite Mondays-Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“Our team has been working hard over the past month to get everything ready for our re-opening,” said Denise Darrell, Executive Director of Community Services at SOURCES. “We are very grateful to be able to continue serving the hundreds of people that rely on us to feed themselves and their families.”

The Sources Langley Food Bank has been in the community for over four years. We discovered at the end of January that the property where we operated had been sold and we had be out by the end of April. An urgent search for a new home began, and with ardent support from the community, a new space was found in late March.

The Sources Langley Food Bank is a program of Sources Community Resources Society. Beyond food distribution, the Sources Langley Food Bank has an Advocate on site to assist people with housing, income supports, mental health, and more. Their clientele include children, adults, seniors, refugees, newcomers, and other citizens of Langley City, Langley Township and Aldergrove.
