Fill our Food Bank’s Wish List this Holiday Season

As the holiday season approaches, many of us begin thinking about feasting with family and friends, but there are others who are stressing about how they will feed their loved ones.

We serve 650 individuals every week at our White Rock/South Surrey Food Bank and over 600 individuals every week at our Langley Food Bank.  The link between poor diet and illness is well-established. Concerns grow with the alarming increase in diseases such as diabetes, coronary heart disease and obesity—health conditions that are evident at the food bank.

People living on a low income do not have access to enough nutritious food to meet their health needs. Our mandate is to provide recipients with enough fresh and nutritious food for 2 days per week; and at Christmastime, we try to do a little bit more.

Each food bank has a wish list of items it really needs, in addition to our Healthy Choices list:

  • Diapers (size 4 and up)
  • Juice, Coffee, Hot Chocolate
  • Stuffing
  • Extra treats (e.g. cookies, chocolate)

  • Diapers (large size)
  • Canned protein (meat, fish, chili, etc.)

If you wish to help, please drop off donations at our Food Banks during office hours.

If you wish to make a monetary donation, please visit our Sources Foundation website and select which Food Bank you’d like to support. With our bulk buying power, we can purchase $3 worth of food for every $1 you give!
