Cornerstone Care to light a blue bulb for Children’s Grief Awareness Day
Sources Cornerstone Care will observe Children’s Grief Awareness Day on November 15, along with other Langley businesses, by lighting a blue light bulb in honour of the grieving children and teens in our community.
Our staff member Rita dropped by Langley Hospice Society‘s Supportive Program Centre this week to pick up a blue light bulb and poster.
Children’s Grief Awareness Day is observed the third Thursday in November each year. It’s a day focused on bringing to mind the children and teens all around us who have experienced the death of a loved one. It’s also an opportunity to let grieving children and teens know that they’re not forgotten in the midst of their grief, and to make sure that they receive the support they need.
This year, the Langley Hospice Society is inviting local businesses to help them “Paint the Town Blue” by wearing blue and turning on a blue light bulb for the day. Click here to learn more
