Community Inclusion Services – Social Skills Group Course
Sources Enrichment Services Centre is offering a two-part virtual Social Skills Group Course for individuals 18+ who have diverse abilities and who are interested in learning skills to make and keep friends.
This course may be appropriate for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression or other social and behavioural disorders.
In this 10-week virtual program, participants will learn about:
- Conversational Skills
- Appropriate use of Humour
- Entering and Exiting Group Conversations
- Electronic Communication
- Handling Arguments and Disagreements
- Organizing Get-Togethers with Friends
Requirements:
- Anyone with a diverse ability
- 18 years or older
- Living within B.C.
This course is held one day per week over two 5-week periods. Individuals must be socially motivated and attend each session. A $5.00 fee is required to save a spot and encourage commitment. Dates are developed upon interest.
