Qualicum Beach Day

Every day is beach day in Qualicum Beach but each summer in July there is also a day of special events to celebrate the beauty of our beach! Spend the afternoon on the Qualicum Beach waterfront having fun enjoying the ocean, sun, activities and food!

The 9th annual Beach Day event is being held this year on Sunday July 17, 2022. Kwalli Seagull is back to celebrate this family fun and informative event on our beautiful beachfront! All activities are free and begin at 12 noon on the grassy area along the waterfront & the long stretch of open beach near the boat ramp. Low tide is at about 1:30 p.m. this year. There will be tents hosting activities, a main stage for live music plus a variety of games and entertainment. Qualicum Beach Day offers a focus on environmental awareness.

This annual event offers plenty of hands-on activities for both young kids and adults alike and is strongly supported by the Town of Qualicum Beach, the local business community plus many local volunteer organizations. Exciting activities include Seine Netting for Sea Creatures, Deep Bay Marine Touch Tank, Skydiving, Dunk Tank, Kite Building, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Fossils, Giant Bubbles, Sandcastle Building and Mini Putting. A variety of displays are on hand including Shark Dissection, Rock and Gem, Shore Birds, Water Smart, Sidewalk Art, and more! Performers include the Black Moon Valley Band, Qualicum Beach Pipe Band, Belly Dancing, Rainbow Stew Cloggers and Clowns! Various organizations are involved including the Save Estuary Land Society, BC Conservation Foundation, North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre, Arrowsmith Naturalists, Streamkeepers, RCMP and more. A variety of food options will also be available.
