Position:  Rent Bank Coordinator – Sources Rent Bank

Location:   Newton Resource Center

Hours:  35 hrs/week – until March 31, 2023

We are looking for a Rent Bank Coordinator to join our Source Rent Bank team! This individual must be thorough, efficient, and detail oriented.

Description of position

Reporting to the Housing Support Services Manager, the Rent Bank Coordinator is a temporary employee of Sources Community Resources.  This position ends March 31, 2023 with a possibility of being extended with new contracting.

General Responsibilities:

  • ·         Review intakes for interest free rent loans for low-income people
  • ·         Check financial background of applicant
  • ·         Review ability to repay loan
  • ·         Process loans
  • ·         Issue payments

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary 2 years, or related experience
  • Effectively utilize Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook and central data systems
  • Effectively communicate professionally, verbally and written in English
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training (Training may be accessed through Sources)
  • Criminal Records check through the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Records Review Program Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and driver’s abstract

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: $24.00 per hour
