Wubs Family Foundation Donates $1 Million to Foundry South Surrey-White Rock

Transformational gift supports access to youth mental health, wellness and social services in South Surrey-White Rock

White Rock, B.C. – October 1, 2026 – Wubs Family Foundation has made a transformational $1 million gift to Foundry South Surrey-White Rock, helping bring vital health, wellness and social supports closer to home for local youth and their families.

The gift supports Peace Arch Hospital + Community Health Foundation’s $2 million commitment to the new Foundry centre, helping bring this important community resource one step closer to reality. The $6.45 million project is being made possible through support from Sources Community Resources Society (SOURCES), provincial partners and generous community donors.

Established in 2023, Wubs Family Foundation is committed to addressing critical needs in local communities, with a focus on health and wellness, mental health and youth. In 2025, the Foundation partnered with Surrey Schools to launch Brighter Future, a program supporting students in under-resourced schools through nutritious meals, essential supplies, technology and enriching opportunities.

“The Wubs Family Foundation is proud to support Foundry South Surrey-White Rock and help create a place where youth and their families can access the mental health, wellness and social supports they need, closer to home,” says Carolyn Nichols, Board Chair of Wubs Family Foundation. “Investing in young people is an investment in the future of our community.”

Located at 15451 Russell Avenue in White Rock, Foundry South Surrey-White Rock will serve youth ages 12 to 24 and their families. The centre will offer a welcoming, stigma-free environment where young people can access mental health and substance use services, physical and sexual healthcare, peer support and social services, all under one roof.

The project is currently in the pre-construction phase, with design and permitting underway. Construction is anticipated to begin toward the end of 2026, subject to the completion of these processes, with the expected opening in late 2027.

“A gift of this magnitude is an incredible demonstration of leadership and commitment to the health and well-being of young people in our community,” says Stephanie Beck, CEO of PAHCHF. “The Wubs Family Foundation is helping turn the vision for Foundry South Surrey-White Rock into a reality. We are deeply grateful for their trust in this project and for choosing to make such a meaningful investment in the future of local youth and families.”
