Senior Behaviour Interventionist

POSITION: Senior Behaviour Interventionist – Casual
CURRENT LOCATION: ACCESS PBS Lower Mainland, BC
CURRENT HOURS: As needed
POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Behaviour Interventionist provides direct one-to-one teaching to young children diagnosed with autism and/or other developmental disorders. The Senior Behaviour Interventionist will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, and under the direct mentorship and supervision of a Behaviour Analyst or Consultant.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate/diploma in related field or minimum of 2 years undergrad education in related field
- MUST HAVE experience working with children and experience/ ability managing and responding to aggressive/ challenging behavior
- Experience working with children with autism is preferred
- Experience with collecting data with the use of data sheets, prepared by team consultant/ analyst
- Willingness to work with clients across all ages and disabilities
- Willingness to work with clients both in the home and out in the community, when required
- Available to work a minimum of 2-3 days per week with each assigned client
- Able to identify when program needs consultant attention/modifications
- Valid BC driver’s license + vehicle / Reliable means of transportation where being punctual for scheduled sessions will not be an issue
- Successful criminal record check required
START DATE: As soon as possible
SALARY: $23.00 per hour
