International Overdose Awareness Day 2021
International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31 is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind.
Together with the ‘Tides of Change‘ South Surrey/White Rock Community Action Team on overdose prevention and response, join us to remember those who have lost their lives to overdose and call for a meaningful action on BC’s public health emergencies.
Where: White Rock Beach Promenade (the pier will be lit purple that night)
When: August 31, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 pm
The event will include:
- A memorial for those who have lost their lives to overdose in the South Surrey/White Rock Community
- Information on local resources, supports, and treatment options
- Free Naloxone Training
