We Can Help! The Empowered for Employment department at SOURCES offers support for you to obtain the skills needed to get you working! 

Building Service Worker Program (Starting on November 8th)

A FREE 11 week program (offered virtually) for individuals who have been impacted by violence and/or abuse as an adult or child. Participants gain occupational skills training and certification through Vancouver Community College to obtain employment in the building service industry as a janitor, custodian and cleaner in schools, hotels, recreational facilities, hospitals, offices, commercial buildings, private residences and more. Employers are ready to hire now!

Skills for Today’s Workplace Program (Starting on November 15th)

A FREE 11 week program (offered virtually) for individuals who have been impacted by violence and/or abuse as an adult or child. We provide individualized planning and training to explore work interests and talents, build employability skills and develop marketable skills for employment.

Both Programs Include: 

  • Job Preparation Workshops; life skills, career exploration, job search and essential computer skills
  • Occupational Skills Certificate Training

  • Work Experience and Practicum Placement
  • Laptop loaner and childcare and transportation financial support
  • Job Search & Placement Assistance
  • Up to $850 in program completion and employment outcome bonuses!
