The results of the Peace Arch News’ 3rd annual Readers’ Choice Awards were published today. We were elated to discover that SOURCES was awarded 1st Place in the Best Non-Profit Organization category and 3rd Place in the Best Seniors Service category!
Imagine a young child reaching up to open the mailbox – their eyes widening with excitement upon seeing a package shaped like a book – then carefully reading their name on the label – it is addressed to that child! The child opens the packaging, runs to their caregiver, crawls onto their lap and opens their new and exotic book. Imagine them snuggled together, reading the story. This is a magical moment for many children – a magical moment with help from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
Warmer weather signals the return of outdoor festivities, including Farmers’ Markets, to many municipalities including the City by the Sea. The first day of the White Rock Farmers’ Market is Sunday May 6, held at Miramar Plaza (15154 Russell Avenue).
